Foundayo and Mood: User Experiences

Foundayo (orforglipron) is a once-daily tablet authorised in the UK for weight management, and the online threads that have grown around it are mostly about appetite, scales and stomachs. Every so often, though, a post turns to something harder to measure: how people feel in themselves while they are taking it.

The accounts run in several directions. Some people describe feeling steadier or lighter, some describe a flatter version of their emotions, and some report a short temper or a dip that arrived with a new dose. These are personal accounts from forums, so they cannot show how common any of this is or what lies behind it.

What follows is a look at those shifts in the words of the people who noticed them: the questions asked before starting, the calmer days, the muted ones, the edgier ones and the question of energy underneath it all.

Asking About Mood Before the First Tablet

Mood often comes up before anyone has taken a dose. People arrive from other medicines with a benchmark in mind, and a few put the question directly to the community.

"So I’m very curious how this will be on this new medication . So if anybody has any insight , if they had fatigue, how long did it last and anybody getting any signs of a blue mood or lack of motivation to do anything."
– claremont26

For some, the worry comes from experience. One UK poster, a week into Foundayo after half a year on an injection, framed their hopes around that earlier stretch.

"I tried Mounjaro for six months but never got on with it and didn’t lose any weight. It impacted my mood quite badly so hoping that Foundayo’s gentler action is more of a good fit for me. Certainly so far it’s going ok."
– jiljen

A switch can also be described as a before and after, with mood sitting alongside the stomach as a reason for changing.

"I had some success with wegovy for migraines but had to stop due to mood and stomach issues. I switched to foundayo […] Mood is better too."
– Desperate-Crew7432

A Calmer, Lighter Feeling

A different set of accounts treats mood as an unexpected extra. In these, the change is something people noticed in passing rather than went looking for.

"But the mental benefits have also been great. I feel like my head is clearer. I feel happier, less anxious. I can't completely put my finger on it, but mentally I just feel better."
– SweetAwareness0504

The change can be small and specific. For one person, only five days in, it showed up in everyday friction rather than in any large feeling.

"I’m only on day 5 of Foundayo 0.8 and I’ve noticed I’m much calmer and slower to anger. I’m not getting irritated as easily and little things don’t seem to bother me as much anymore. It was a completely unexpected benefit, but definitely a welcome one."
– PinkBlood0

Calm With the Volume Turned Down

Not everyone who reports calm describes it as pure gain. In one long thread, two people compared notes about what had gone quiet along with the worries. One person who had just moved up to a higher tablet strength sounded sure that nothing had been lost.

"Just upped to 5.5 and now feeling the calm return. I don't ever want to go back off of this! I haven't had any of the good stuff muffled - I try to enjoy all the beauty in life without the noise of food or alcohol getting in my way."
– SensitiveCell834

Another reply in the same thread weighed the trade differently. It came with a concrete example from daily routine, and a determination not to let it go.

"Although like you said,, even the highest emotions are muffled. I noticed I haven't played piano as much . (it was my stress reliever.) but I also don't want to stop. […] If it makes me feel 90% of joy, I guess that's the compromise when my negative emotions are also muffled."
– tababnaba76

Between them the two accounts show how the same word, calm, can sit comfortably with one person and feel like a trade with another.

Cranky, Moody and Out of Sorts

The edgier reports come from the other side of the ledger. They tend to be tied to a particular stretch, often a dose, and they are described in plain, unscientific words.

"When I took it everyday I was so tired, and cranky but not hungry at all. I ate when it was time but it wasn’t ever enough to sustain any sort of energy."
– grewish89

Duration matters to how these accounts read. For one person the moodiness lasted a few weeks and then lifted, though it had also shown up on the starter dose.

"I had 3 and 1/2 weeks of moodiness and mild fatigue but it finally went away. […] I got moody (anhedonia) on the starter dose too, so it seems to be a thing for some of us."
– HalleFreakinLujah

The most intense account in this set belongs at the far end of that range. It was shared as a piece of honest feedback, and the sequence it describes began with sleep.

"I moved up to 2.5 and a week in, my whole world changed. […] I finally caught up on sleep and then all of the sudden, my mood was erratic. I’m talking depression, anger, irrational and irritable."
– Original-Ice-5488

Spark, Drive and Energy

Underneath many of these reports sits energy, the quiet question of whether a person feels like doing things at all. For some it is the loss of something that used to be there.

"I’ve also been feeling like it took my spark and been so lazy."
– Universityofu

Other people describe the opposite, and in the most upbeat accounts energy and mood are talked about as one thing. One person two weeks in described working out without difficulty and, to their own surprise, feeling livelier.

"I’m only two weeks in but I’ve been working out 4-5 times a week with zero issue. Oddly more energy and feeling better than before I started."
– Admarie25

Elsewhere, the lift is measured against how people felt before they started. One poster set the present against a heavy, sluggish past.

"It's the difference between feeling heavy, sluggish and lethargic and being excited and proud to see people in my life, having more energy, etc."
– NormalGuyPosts

What Does Medino's Pharmacist Think?

"Mood is rarely tied to one thing, and in these accounts weight, sleep, appetite and everyday circumstances may all be changing at once. What stands out is the range: some people describe feeling calmer, others flatter or shorter-tempered, and several say it settled with time."
– Alessandro Grenci, Pharmacist at Medino

Many Moods, No Single Story

Read together, these accounts do not add up to one experience of mood on Foundayo. They describe a handful of separate stories: a question asked before starting, a calm that arrived unannounced, a quietness that some welcomed and others missed, a short temper that came and went, and a change in energy that could point either way.

What they share is attention. People notice how they feel on a new medicine, put words to it, and then go looking for a stranger who has felt the same.
