Usage and Instructions
Because powdered milks are not sterile, failure to follow these instructions may make your baby ill.
- Wash your hands and sterilise all utensils, following the steriliser's instructions.
- Boil 1 litre of freshly run water, then leave the kettle to cool for no more than 30 minutes. Measure the required amount of water (see the feeding guide on the tin) into a sterilised bottle. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water, and take care not to scald yourself.
- Using the scoop provided, level off the powder with the built-in leveller. Do not press or heap the powder.
- Add the correct measure of powder to the water. Adding too many or too few scoops can be harmful. Fit the sterilised teat and cap, then shake immediately, vertically and vigorously for at least 10 seconds, until the powder is dissolved.
- Cool under running tap water, check the temperature of the feed and feed immediately.
Use prepared milk within 2 hours and throw away any that remains. Store the powder in a cool, dry place, not in a refrigerator, and use it within 4 weeks of opening.
