Description
Aptamil Pepti Syneo is a hypoallergenic infant formula for the dietary management of cow's milk allergy, suitable from birth. It is based on extensively hydrolysed whey protein and adds galacto- and fructo-oligosaccharides (GOS/FOS) and Bifidobacterium breve M-16V. It is nutritionally complete, so it can be the sole source of nutrition for the first 6 months, and it is a food for special medical purposes that must be used under medical supervision.
Key Features
- Extensively hydrolysed whey protein: The milk proteins are broken down (hydrolysed) to reduce the likelihood of them causing an allergic reaction.
- Contains Bifidobacterium breve M-16V: The formula includes this bacterial strain together with GOS/FOS.
- Nutritionally complete: Suitable as a sole source of nutrition up to 6 months of age, and/or as part of a balanced diet from 6 months.
- Available on prescription: ACBS approved and prescribable on an FP10 (GP10 in Scotland) for the dietary management of cow's milk allergy.
- Supplied in an 800g tin: One level scoop from the tin is mixed with every 30ml (1 fluid ounce) of water.
