Description
Benylin Children's Night Coughs for children aged 6 years and older, is formulated to help soothe congestion and coughing during the night helping your child to rest and get the sleep needed to fight off illness. This sugar free syrup with a soothing raspberry flavour makes it easy for your child to use.
Ingredients
Each 5ml of Cough Syrup contains: Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride 7mg, Levomenthol 0.55mg
Usage and Instructions
Children 6 to 12 years:
Two 5ml spoonfuls every 6 hours.
Do not give more than 4 doses in 24 hours.
Do not give to children under 6 years old.
No more than four doses should be given in any 24 hours.
Not to be used for more than five days without the advice of a doctor. Parents or carers should seek medical attention if the child's condition deteriorates during treatment.
Do not exceed the stated dose.

Do not give with any other cough and cold medicine.
Ask a doctor before use if your child suffers from a chronic or persistent cough, if he/she has asthma, is suffering from an acute asthma attack or where cough is accompanied by excessive secretions.
Diabetics: This product contains sorbitol (carbohydrate content approximately 1.78g per 5ml).

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.

Side Effects
MAY CAUSE DROWSINESS. IF AFFECTED, DO NOT DRIVE OR OPERATE MACHINERY. AVOID ALCOHOLIC DRINK.
If you experience any of the following, stop using the medicine and seek immediate help:
- Swelling of the face, lips or tongue.
- Allergic reactions including skin rashes (which may be severe and include blistering or peeling of the skin and itching)
- Irregular heart rate.
- Shakiness.
- Fits or numbness.
