Celluvisc 0.5% 0.4ml 90 Pack
Description
If you experience dry eyes this 0.5% carmellose sodium solution will provide soothing relief from burning and itching.
Benefits:
- Soothes and treats dry eyes
- Contains the lubricant carmellose sodium
- An effective substitute for tears
- Suitable for contact lens wearers
- Provides suitable moisture for a false eye
- Handy pack of 90 single-dose containers
Because you deserve relief in the blink (or two) of an eye, Celluvisc contains the active ingredient carmellose sodium, a medicine used to act as a substitute for natural tears. These artificial tears keep your eyes well lubricated for longer, which helps to alleviate the discomfort caused by the symptoms of dry eye, such as burning and irritation.
Ingredients
Active ingredient: Carmellose sodium 0.5% w/v
Other ingredients: Sodium chloride, sodium lactate, potassium chloride, calcium chloride dihydrate, magnesium chloride hexahydrate, and purified water. Small amounts of sodium hydroxide or hydrochloric acid.
Usage and Instructions
The usual dose is 1-2 drops of Celluvisc in the affected eye, or in each affected eye, 4 times a day, or as often as needed.
Celluvisc is safe to use even if you’re wearing contact lenses.
Always make sure that your single-dose container is undamaged and unopened before use, use the solution immediately after opening, and then discard when done.
To avoid contamination or infection, wash your hands before use, and take care not to let the open end of the single-dose container touch your eye or anything else.
Unless your pharmacist or doctor has recommended differently, simply follow the package instructions as per the below:
- Tear one single-dose container from the strip.
- Hold the single-dose container upright (with the top uppermost) and twist off the top.
- Gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket. Turn the single-dose container upside down and squeeze it to release one drop into each eye. Blink your eyes a few times.
It is very important to note, that this solution does not store well once the container is opened. In other words, do not re-use the single-dose container, even if there is some solution left. Discard the container and any left-over solution immediately after use.
While used containers can be safely disposed of as household waste, you can do your part to protect the environment by returning unused containers to your pharmacist or chatting to them about how you can dispose of containers responsibly.
