1. Check the expiry date on the condom wrapper. If a wrapper is obviously damaged, throw that condom away and use a new one from an undamaged package.
2. Tear the wrapper open from the serrated edge, taking care not to damage the condom with fingernails or sharp objects.
3. Put the condom on before the penis touches your partner. With the roll on the outside, squeeze the teat and place the condom on the tip of the erect penis.
4. Roll the condom down to the base. If it doesn't unroll, it may be on backwards. Throw it away and use a new one.
5. Stop and check if the condom feels like it is slipping off or is too tight, as this may lead to breakage.
6. Take the condom off soon after ejaculation. Hold it firmly at the base of the penis before pulling out.
7. Put the wrapper and used condom in a bin. Do not flush them down the toilet.
