Imodium Instant Tablets are used fot the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhoea in adults and children aged 12 years and over.

They can also be used for diarrhoea associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) in adults aged 18 years and over, following guidance from your doctor.

Imodium Instant Tablet work by slowing down your bowel movement and can provide fast and effective relief and stop diarrhoea in one hour.

Active ingredient: Loperamide hydrochloride 2mg.

Exciptients: Gelatin, Mannitol, Aspartame, Sodium hydrogen carbonate, Mint flavour.

Acute diarrhoea:

Adults, the elderly, and children 12 years and over:

Two tablets (4mg) initially allowed to disintegrate on the tongue and then swallowed, followed by 1 tablet (2mg) after every loose stool. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 6 tablets (12mg).

Irritable Bowel Syndrom (IBS) diagnosed by a doctor:

Adults aged 18 years and over:

same as above, but different age restrictions.

Not recommended for under 12 years of age, unless under a doctor's supervision.

Please not that Imodium is not a substitute for re-hydration therapy.

Side effects with Imodium are rare but should you experience any of these side effects report to your doctor or pharmacist:

• Stomach pain, discomfort, or enlargement.
