Warnings
- If you have sarcoidosis, take InVita D3 with caution due to the risk of increased metabolism of vitamin D into its active form.
- Your calcium levels in serum and urine should be monitored regularly.
- During long-term treatment, it's important to follow your serum calcium levels and monitor your renal function through serum creatinine measurements.
- This monitoring is particularly crucial if you are elderly, on cardiac glycosides or diuretics, or prone to kidney stones.
- If hypercalciuria (exceeding 300 mg/24 hours) or signs of impaired renal function occur, your dose should be reduced or treatment discontinued.
- Use InVita D3 cautiously if you have impaired renal function, with regular monitoring of your calcium and phosphate levels to avoid soft tissue calcification.
- In cases of severe renal insufficiency, cholecalciferol is not metabolized normally, so other forms of vitamin D should be used.
- The vitamin D content (800 IU) in InVita D3 should be considered when taking other vitamin D products.
- Additional doses of vitamin D should be taken under close medical supervision, with frequent monitoring of your serum calcium levels and urinary calcium excretion.
