Because it contains no film-forming silicones or waxes, it conditions hair without building up over time or weighing it down.

Can I use K18 Damage Shield Protective Conditioner instead of the K18 hair mask?

The two products do different jobs. The K18 Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask is a 4-minute leave-in treatment for damaged hair, while this conditioner protects hair from daily damage. K18 recommends applying the mask first, waiting 4 minutes, then using the conditioner for extra softening and detangling.

Does K18 Damage Shield Protective Conditioner contain SPF?

No. It does not contain SPF. Its polysaccharide and ceramide blend help reduce the drying and damaging effects of UV rays on the hair cuticle for up to 3 days, so you do not need to reapply it during that time for continued UV protection of your hair.

How much conditioner should I use?

The gel formula is highly concentrated, so a little goes a long way. Use less than you would with a traditional conditioner and add more only if your hair needs it.

This conditioner contains fragrance and the fragrance allergens hydroxycitronellal, limonene, coumarin, and citrus peel and flower oils, so it may not be suitable if you have a known sensitivity to these ingredients.
