Are there any circumstances in which Lemsip Cold & Flu Blackcurrant should not be taken?
Yes, Lemsip Cold & Flu Blackcurrant should not be taken if you are allergic to any of its ingredients, have a serious heart condition, high blood pressure (hypertension), an overactive thyroid, are taking or have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) within the last 14 days, taking other sympathomimetic decongestants, have an enlarged prostate, or have pheochromocytoma.
What are the warnings and precautions associated with taking this medicine?
Before taking Lemsip Cold & Flu Blackcurrant, it is important to consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have Raynaud's syndrome, diabetes mellitus, liver or kidney problems, non-cirrhotic liver disease, or closed angle glaucoma.
Can Lemsip Cold & Flu Blackcurrant be taken with other medications?
It is advised not to take Lemsip Cold & Flu Blackcurrant with other paracetamol-containing products. Additionally, if you are taking beta-blockers, vasodilators, tricyclic antidepressants, other decongestants, barbiturates, or other medications, it is recommended to consult your doctor or pharmacist for guidance.
Are there any specific drug interactions to be aware of?
Yes, certain medications can affect the way paracetamol or phenylephrine works. These include drugs used to treat blood cholesterol (cholestyramine), nausea and vomiting (metoclopramide and domperidone), blood thinning drugs (warfarin and other coumarins), and digoxin and cardiac glycoside. It is important to inform your doctor or pharmacist about any other medicines you are taking.
Is Lemsip Cold & Flu Blackcurrant safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
This product should not be used in women with a history of pre-eclampsia. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advisable to seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist before taking Lemsip Cold & Flu Blackcurrant.

Usage and Instructions
Dissolve one Lemsip Cold and Flu sachet in a mug of hot water and stir to dissolve. Take one sachet every 4 - 6 hours, leaving at least 4 hours between each dose. Do not take more than 4 sachets within 24 hours.
Not to be given to children under 12.
Do not take for longer than 3 days.
Do not exceed the reccomended dose.
Do not take if you are allergic to any of the ingredient.
Do not take if you have hepatic or severe renal impairment, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, heart disease or taking tricyclic antidepressants
or beta-blocking drugs and do not take if you are taking or have taken, within the last two weeks, monoamine oxidase inhibitors
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicine, particularly metoclopramide or domperidone, cholestyramine, anti-coagulants.
This product should not be used during pregnancy or breast feeding without medical advice. Always Read the Label
Skin rashes and other allergic effects can occur with paracetamol.
Raised blood pressure, headache, dizziness, upset stomach, difficulty in sleeping and palpitations may occur with phenylephrine
