What 500,000+ customers say about medino:
Description
BD Micro-Fine Ultra Pen Needles 32G x 4MM 100 Pack are sterile, single-use pen needles (0.23 mm x 4 mm, 32G) for use with insulin pen injectors. The manufacturer, embecta, says the 4mm length helps reduce the risk of intramuscular injection compared with needles 6mm and longer, and that the 5-bevel tip can bring a more comfortable injection.
Key Features
- Short 4mm length: The manufacturer states the 4mm needle helps reduce the risk of intramuscular injection compared with needles 6mm and longer.
- 5-bevel needle tip: The 5-bevel tip can bring a more comfortable and less painful injection, according to the manufacturer.
- Ultra-thin wall technology: It increases the flow of insulin, so less thumb pressure is needed to push the pen button.
- 32G fine needle: The needle measures 0.23 mm x 4 mm (32G x 5/32").
- Compatible with widely used pen injectors: The manufacturer states the needles are compatible with widely used pen injection devices.
- 100-needle pack: Each needle is for a single injection, so the pack covers 100 injections.
Can I reuse a pen needle?
No. Pen needles are recommended for single use only and are no longer sterile after one use. The manufacturer notes an association between needle reuse and injection pain or bleeding.
Do I need to pinch up the skin with a 4mm needle?
The manufacturer says to inject straight in. Children aged 2 to 6, or people who are extremely lean, may require a pinch-up of the skin.
How long should I hold the needle in after injecting?
Push the thumb button and count for up to 10 seconds before removing the needle straight out. Check your insulin's Instructions for Use for its specific hold time.

Rotate injection sites and inject at least one finger width away from your last injection. The usual areas are the abdomen, thighs, arms and buttocks.
Warnings
Please note the following:
- Remove both the outer cover and the inner needle shield before injecting. If either is left on, the medication or dose may not be injected, which may result in serious injury or death.
- Use a new pen needle for every injection. Pen needles are no longer sterile after one use, and reuse is associated with injection pain or bleeding.
- Dispose of used needles straight away in a sharps container.
- Talk to your diabetes care team or pharmacist about injection technique and the best injection areas for you.
