Description
Movicol-Half Powder effectively addresses constipation in adults, adolescents, and the elderly, offering relief even for those experiencing prolonged discomfort. Not recommended for children under 12 years, this oral solution also treats severe constipation, known as faecal impaction.
The powder comprises four key ingredients: potassium chloride, sodium chloride, sodium hydrogen carbonate, and macrogol 3350. Three of these components are salts that replenish electrolytes lost due to constipation, while macrogol 3350 acts as a laxative to promote bowel movement by increasing water retention in the bowel.
Movicol-Half 6.9g sachet powder is easily mixed with water to create an oral solution that softens and bulks up stools, facilitating a more comfortable bowel movement. The active ingredient, Macrogol 3350, works in tandem with electrolytes to maintain the body's normal sodium, potassium, and water levels, thus effectively relieving chronic constipation and faecal impaction.
Movicol-Half Powder not only addresses chronic constipation but also manages the build-up of compressed and hardened stools in the rectum, resulting from such constipation. This osmotic laxative contains macrogol (polyethylene glycol), sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride, and potassium chloride, which work together to ensure that the solution alleviates constipation without negatively affecting the body's essential electrolyte and water balance.
