Not eating enough fibre, stress, changes to diet or simply not drinking enough liquids can make you feel sluggish. You can use Movical sachets any time to alleviate your symptoms. To use, simply dissolve a sachet into a glass of water (around ¼ full) and stir it until it dissolves before drinking. If you suffer from chronic constipation, use it 1-3 times a day to relieve your discomfort and soon, you should return to your normal routine.
One sachet contains: Macrogol 3350 6.563g, Sodium Chloride 0.1754g, Sodium Bicarbonate 0.0893g, Potassium Chloride 0.0233g.
Usage and Instructions
Dissolve each sachet in 62.5ml water.
For chronic constipation:
If you suffer from regular constipation, we recommend a dose of 2-6 sachets daily taken in divided doses, according to the severity of your constipation.
For faecal impaction:
For those who suffer from faecal impaction, you can take up to 16 sachets a day, all of which should be consumed within a 6 hour period, for a maximum of three days. When using to treat faecal impaction, you can reconstitute all sachets in advance and keep them covered and refrigerated for up to 6 hours. For example, 16 sachets can be made up into one litre of water.
Always take the sachets as directed, and please do not exceed the dose.
Do not exceed the daily dose.
Do not use Movicol Half for longer than 2 weeks if using it for chronic constipation. If symptoms persist consult your GP.
When using Movicol Half for faecal impaction, do not use it for longer than 3 days.
If you suffer from any heart problems, do not take more than 4 sachets in any one hour.
Although you are preparing Movicol Half in water, this does not replace the need to keep hydrated.
The absorption of other medications or supplements can be affected while taking Movicol Half, please check with our pharmacists or your GP if taking other medications.
