Ingredients
Paracetamol 1000mg, Promethazine Hydrochloride 20mg, Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide 15mg
Usage and Instructions
For adults and children over 16: Fill the measuring cup to the 20ml mark. Take one 20ml dose (four teaspoons) at bedtime.
Take one dose of Night Nurse per night. Don't take it if you have already taken 4 doses (4000mg) of a paracetamol-containing product in any 24-hour period. If in doubt, consult your pharmacist.
Do not use for longer than 3 days without medical advice. If your symptoms persist, speak to your doctor.
Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended dose. If you accidentally take more than necessary, seek medical advice even if you feel well.
This product is not suitable for anyone below 16 years of age.
This product contains paracetamol. Don't take alongside any other products containing paracetamol, other cough or cold medicines, or any other antihistamine-containing products, including those used on the skin.
Avoid alcohol.
This product may cause drowsiness, dizziness, difficulty concentrating, movement difficulties or blurred vision. If you feel any of these effects, do not drive.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, do not use this product unless on the advice of your medical practitioner.
Side Effects
There are some side effects associated with this product but not everyone will experience them.
Some side effects associated with Night Nurse include:
- Drowsiness
- Feeling disorientated or confused
- Difficulty concentrating
- Dizziness
- Dry mouth
- Blurred vision
- Disturbances of the gut such as diarrhoea, constipation, nausea, vomiting or abdominal pain
- Skin rash
- Difficulty passing urine
