Numark Melolin 10x20cm 100 Pack is a box of 100 sterile, low-adherent absorbent dressing pads, each measuring 10cm x 20cm. They are used to cover light to moderately weeping wounds such as cuts, grazes, sutured wounds and minor burns. No. Melolin is a plain pad with no adhesive border. To keep it on the wound, use surgical tape, a dressing retention bandage or a flexible bandage.

Yes. The pad is designed to hold together when cut, so you can trim it to the size of the wound. Each pad measures 10cm x 20cm before cutting.

How does the low-adherent film work?

The film layer that goes against the wound is perforated. Wound fluid drains through the small holes into the absorbent pad, and the film is designed not to stick to the wound surface.

Materials: Perforated polyester film (wound contact layer), cotton and acrylic fibre absorbent pad, and a hydrophobic backing layer.

1. Wash your hands, then clean the wound with tap water, bottled water or sterile wipes and pat the area dry.
2. Remove the dressing from its pouch.
3. Place the pad on the wound with the shiny film side against the wound.
4. Hold the pad in place with surgical tape or a dressing retention bandage.
5. Change the dressing daily, or as advised by a healthcare professional, depending on how much fluid the wound is producing.

Get medical advice before relying on a dressing for a serious wound or burn. Contact your GP or NHS 111 urgently if:

• the wound contains soil, pus or body fluids, or is still dirty after cleaning
• the wound is swollen, red or getting more painful, or you feel unwell or have a high temperature
• the wound came from an animal or human bite
• the cut is longer than about 5cm
