Usage and Instructions
Dosage Instructions
Adults and Adolescents Aged 16 and Above:
- Single Dose: One medicated plaster.
- Frequency: Only one medicated plaster should be used in a 24-hour duration.
- Application Timing: Can be put on at any time, either day or night. Replace with a new one at the same time on the subsequent day.
- Duration: Use only as long as needed to alleviate symptoms. Treatment shouldn't surpass 5 days. Benefits of use beyond 5 days haven't been proven.
- Note: If symptoms persist or worsen within the advised treatment time, seek advice from a healthcare specialist.
Elderly Patients:
- Dosage Adjustment: None required.
Children and Adolescents Under 16:
- Safety: The effectiveness and safety of Nurofen Joint & Muscular Pain Relief 200mg Medicated Plaster for those below 16 years haven't been determined.
How to Use:
- Usage: Only for external and temporary use.
- Cutting: Use the plaster as a whole; do not cut it.
- Combination: Don't pair the medicated plaster with airtight bandages.
- Preparation: Cleanse and dry the application area before placing the plaster.
- Skin Condition: Apply only to unbroken skin.
- Instructions: To use a medicated plaster, tear or cut the sachet on the indicated line. Begin by removing the center part of the protective liner on the adhesive side, then stick it to the area of discomfort. After it's firmly on, peel off the liner edges.
- Flexibility: The plaster is designed to be flexible and can be placed near or on joints without restricting movement.
- Care: Ensure the medicated plaster remains dry.
Warnings
Not Recommended For:
- Individuals allergic to the main ingredient or any additives mentioned in section 6.1.
- Those who have experienced allergic reactions like asthma, bronchospasm, rhinitis, angioedema, or urticaria from ibuprofen, acetylsalicylic acid, or other NSAIDs.
- Use on skin that is damaged or broken.
- Women in their third trimester of pregnancy.
- Application to eyes, lips, or any mucosal surfaces.
