Strefen Honey & Lemon Lozenges give long lasting relief from painful sore throats. It is honey and lemon flavoured and gets to work instantly with anti-inflammatory action.

Flurbiprofen 8.75mg

Adults and children over 12 years:

Suck one lozenge slowly every 3 to 6 hours as required. Move the lozenge around your mouth occasionally as you suck it.

Do not take more than 5 Strefen Honey & Lemon lozenges in any 24 hour period.

Not for children under 12 years of age.

Strefen Honey & Lemon is recommended for up to 3 days use. If your sore throat lasts longer, worsens, or you get new symptoms, talk to your pharmacist or doctor.

Do not take:

If you have or have ever had a stomach ulcer.

If you are allergic to flurbiprofen, aspirin or other NSAIDs (non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), or any of the other ingredients.

If you have ever had wheezing, a runny nose or an itchy rash (hives) after taking flurbiprofen or other NSAIDs.

Check with your pharmacist or doctor before use:

If you have asthma, or kidney, heart, liver, high blood pressure or blood clotting problems.

If you are taking any medicines or treatments, or other pain relievers containing aspirin or other NSAIDs.

If you are (or may be) pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

If you have rare, inherited problems coping with sugars or carbohydrate. Ask your doctor if you are unsure.

Do not exceed the stated dose.

The following are some of the side effects that are known to be associated with this medicine:

  • Rash.
  • Diarrhoea.
  • Indigestion (dyspepsia).
  • Yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice).
  • Mouth ulcers.
  • Nausea and vomiting.
  • Alteration in taste.
  • Excessive fluid retention in the body tissues, resulting in swelling (oedema).
  • Decrease in the number of platelets in the blood (thrombocytopenia).
  • Bleeding from the stomach or intestine.
  • Severe swelling of lips, face or tongue (angioedema).
  • Itchy rash (urticaria).
  • Mouth irritation.
