Lidocaine can interact with other medicines when high blood concentrations occur. The amount absorbed from STUD 100 is expected to be very low, but interactions have been reported with medicines including antiarrhythmics, anticonvulsants, anticholinergic medicines, antihypertensives, barbiturates, beta-blockers, muscle relaxants and sympathomimetics. Ask a doctor or pharmacist for advice before use if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines or herbal products obtained without a prescription.
Pregnancy: Do not use STUD 100 if your female partner is pregnant, as lidocaine may be transferred during intercourse. If you are planning a pregnancy, either avoid using STUD 100 or wash it off thoroughly immediately before intercourse.
The official leaflet does not provide specific breastfeeding advice.
STUD 100 is unlikely to impair the ability to drive or operate machinery because systemic absorption of lidocaine following topical use is very low.
The fragrance contains benzyl cinnamate, citral, hexyl cinnamaldehyde and tree moss, which may cause allergic reactions. Butylated hydroxytoluene may cause local skin reactions such as contact dermatitis or irritation to the eyes and mucous membranes.
Do not exceed 24 sprays in 24 hours. If you use too much, seek medical advice. Very high levels of lidocaine may affect the brain, nervous system, heart and lungs and can cause nervousness, dizziness, convulsions, loss of consciousness, breathing problems and cardiovascular effects.
