Usage and Instructions
- Check that the safety strip on the cap of a new tube is unbroken, then tear off the safety strip to break the seal.
- Wash and dry your hands well, and remove the outer cap.
- Remove contact lenses if you wear them.
- Tilt your head back and look up. Gently pull down the lower lid to form a small pocket between the eyelid and the eye.
- Hold the tube between your thumb and middle finger, turn it upside down near the eye, and try not to touch the eye with the nozzle.
- Squeeze out a thin line of ointment about half an inch (1 centimetre), or as directed by your doctor, pharmacist or optician.
- Blink a few times. If you missed the eye, apply another line of ointment.
- Wipe away any excess ointment around the eyelid with a tissue, then repeat for the other eye if required.
- Replace the outer cap without touching the applicator tip with anything, including your eye or fingers.
Apply a thin line of ointment about half an inch (1 centimetre) in each eye whenever needed. Leave at least 30 minutes between this ointment and any other eye medicines. Discard the contents 60 days after first opening. Do not freeze the tube.
Warnings
The following precautions apply:
- Do not use if you are allergic to lanolin alcohols or any of the other ingredients.
- Do not use with contact lenses.
- Do not use if the safety strip on the cap is broken.
- Wait until your vision is clear before driving or using machinery, as the ointment can cause blurred vision.
- Do not share the tube with any other person.
- For external eye use only. Do not swallow.
- Consult your doctor, pharmacist or optician if you are unsure how to use the ointment or if your eye condition persists.
- Do not use after the expiry date shown on the carton or printed on the crimp of the tube.
- Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
