Can people with a BMI under 30 use Mounjaro?
In the UK, Mounjaro is generally approved for weight loss if you have a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 if you also have a weight-related health problem such as high blood pressure or prediabetes. On the NHS, access is much more restricted, with current rollout focusing on those with a BMI over 40 and several weight-related conditions. However, private clinics and online providers may prescribe Mounjaro for people with a BMI as low as 27, if there is at least one related health issue.
