Who should not use Mounjaro?
Mounjaro should not be used for weight loss by people who have or have ever had medullary thyroid cancer, a rare condition called Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Syndrome Type 2 (MEN-2), or those who are allergic to tirzepatide or any of its ingredients. It is also not suitable for anyone who is pregnant, breastfeeding, or has a history of pancreatitis. People with type 1 diabetes should avoid Mounjaro, and anyone taking certain medications (such as insulin, sulfonylureas) should consult their doctor due to possible interactions.
