Meet the medino team: Giulia, our Superintendent Pharmacist

At medino, we’re growing fast – which means there’s more of us behind the scenes, getting you the products, prescriptions and information that you need.

Have you met our Superintendant Pharmacist, Giulia? Here’s a quick intro from Giulia herself: "My name is Giulia, with the G, Guerrini (with the G as well). I'm Italian – I come from a small village next to Bologna, five hours from Milan." She’s also our go-to on all things pharmacy, from expert healthcare advice to useful product recommendations.

With an experienced pharmacy background – including a Masters in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology and a career as a Locum Pharmacist (a pharmacist that works like a contractor) – Giulia is the perfect person to deal with all kinds of patients and cases across the UK, as we do.

In this episode of ‘Meet the Team’, Giulia let us know her passions outside of work, what it’s like to hike a glacier, and why she loves working for medino.

What do you like doing in your spare time?

"I love travelling! If I don't have a lot of time, I will probably just explore something in the city where I live in London. And, normally, I will always have my camera; my camera is always around my neck. So travel and photography are my two passions."

What’s your best travel story?

"I went to Bolivia about four years ago. I did a hike on a glacier, up to 6000 metres altitude. Now, I can't say that it was very fun... It was definitely breathtaking – like, literally breathtaking – but it was probably one of the craziest things I've ever done when travelling!"

Why do you like working at medino?

"I love working at medino, because it's stimulating. It's fun. I love the people I work with. They all come from different backgrounds, so it's very exciting. I would say one of the main reasons that I love working here, is that we’re delivering something very unique.

As a pharmacist, what I can see is happening is that we're bringing the high street pharmacy into an online context – but we're still keeping the care for our patients, and the attention that you normally get in a face to face setting. It’s very unique, and it's very exciting; so I love working for medino for all these reasons."
