Consultation Process
- This pack size of Naproxen 250mg Tablets is not available over the counter. It's prescription-only, but we can supply it through our private PGD clinic for non-specific acute lower back pain once a trained pharmacist completes a clinical assessment.
- You will start by completing the online clinical form. A pharmacist trained in providing this Back Pain Treatment will review your answers and then contact you to discuss them in more detail.
- A valid phone number is required because the consultation must take place by phone or video call. This is a legal requirement when supplying medication without a prescription and ensures the treatment is safe and appropriate for you. It also allows you to ask the pharmacist any questions you may have.
- All information you provide is strictly confidential. Both your online form and the consultation are handled privately between you and the pharmacist.
- The price shown already includes the consultation fee. There are no additional or hidden charges.
Please note: Purchasing this service does not guarantee supply. The pharmacist will make the final clinical decision during your consultation. If the medication is not suitable for you, your order will be refunded.

Side Effects
As for all medications, Naproxen can cause side effects. Undesirable effects may be minimised by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms. If you are treated with NSAIDs long-term, you should undergo regular medical supervision to monitor for adverse events:
- Severe hepatic reactions, including jaundice and hepatitis
- Naproxen decreases platelet aggregation and prolongs bleeding time
- Exacerbation of bronchospasm, asthma or allergic disease
- Kidney toxicity
- Fluid retention, hypertension and oedema
- Increase in blood pressure
- Gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding that can often manifest as really dark, black stools.
If you experience any of the above symptoms, stop taking the medication and seek immediate medical advice.
