Description
Crescent Sildenafil 25mg 4 Tablets are prescription-only film-coated tablets for treating erectile dysfunction in adult men, which is the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual performance. Each tablet contains 25 mg of sildenafil, the lowest strength of sildenafil, which is used when a lower dose is advised, and the pack of 4 tablets is licensed to Crescent Pharma Limited.
Key Features
- Prescription-only medicine: Sildenafil is available only on prescription, after a clinician has checked it is suitable for you.
- 25 mg lowest strength: The dose can be lowered to 25 mg depending on how well sildenafil works and is tolerated. A 25 mg starting dose may also be considered for people with severe kidney problems, liver problems, or those taking alpha-blockers or certain other medicines.
- Taken as needed: It is taken about 1 hour before sexual activity, no more than once a day, rather than every day.
- Needs sexual stimulation: Sildenafil only works when you are sexually stimulated.
- Pack of 4 tablets: The pack contains 4 tablets of the Crescent Pharma Limited product (PL 20416/0500).
How long before sex should I take Crescent Sildenafil 25mg?
Take it about 1 hour before sexual activity. If you take it with food, it may take longer to start working than on an empty stomach. The maximum dosing frequency is once a day.
Can I buy Crescent Sildenafil 25mg without a prescription?
No. It is a prescription-only medicine, so a prescriber must decide it is suitable for you first.
Is 25 mg the right strength for me?
Your prescriber decides the strength. The usual recommended dose is 50 mg, and the dose may be increased to 100 mg or decreased to 25 mg depending on how well it works and how well you tolerate it. The maximum recommended dose is 100 mg.
Who should not take sildenafil?
Never take sildenafil with nitrates or nitric oxide donors such as amyl nitrite. It is also not for people who have been told sexual activity is unsafe for them, or who have had a recent stroke or heart attack. The full list is under Warnings.

Warnings
Please read the following before taking this medicine:
- Do not take it with nitrates (in any form), nitric oxide donors such as amyl nitrite, or riociguat, as they can cause a dangerous fall in blood pressure. Nicorandil also contains a nitrate and can interact seriously.
- Do not take it if you have been advised to avoid sexual activity (for example because of unstable angina or severe heart failure), have had a recent stroke or heart attack, have low blood pressure (below 90/50 mmHg), or have severe liver problems.
- Do not take it if you have lost sight in one eye because of non-arteritic anterior ischaemic optic neuropathy (NAION), or have a hereditary degenerative eye condition such as retinitis pigmentosa.
- Do not take it if you are allergic to sildenafil or any of the other ingredients.
- Stop taking it and seek medical advice immediately if you have a sudden loss of vision.
- Get immediate medical help if an erection lasts longer than 4 hours. Untreated, this can damage penile tissue and cause permanent loss of potency.
- Take care if you have a deformed penis or Peyronie's disease, or a condition that raises the risk of long erections, such as sickle cell anaemia, multiple myeloma or leukaemia.
- Take care if you take an alpha-blocker, as dizziness or light-headedness on standing is most likely within 4 hours of taking sildenafil. Taking it with ritonavir is not advised.
- Do not use it with other erectile dysfunction treatments or other sildenafil medicines, as this combination has not been studied.
- Use only after a careful risk assessment if you have a bleeding disorder or an active stomach ulcer.
- It is not for use by women. Dizziness and altered vision have been reported, so check how you react before driving or using machinery.
