Active Ingredients: Calcium carbonate and Colecalciferol.

Each Evacal D3 chewable tablet contains 1,500mg of calcium carbonate (equivalent to 600mg of calcium) and 4.0mg of colecalciferol concentrate (powder form) (equivalent to 10 micrograms of Dose colecalciferol = 400IU of vitamin D3).

Take two Evacal D3 tablet per day. The tablets must be chewed before swallowed. They can be taken at any time, with or without food, but should not be taken in the 2 hours before or after eating food containing high amounts of oxalic or phytic acid (found in spinach, rhubarb and wholegrain cereals). This is because they can reduce the amount of calcium you absorb in your bowel.

Evacal D3 1500mg/400iu Chewable Tablets are safe to use during pregnancy and while breastfeeding under medical supervision. Pregnant women must not exceed 1 tablet per day (no more than a total daily intake of 1500mg of calcium and 600iu of vitamin D3).

Do not take Evacal D3 1500mg/400iu Chewable Tablets if you are:

• Allergic to calcium, vitamin D3 or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6)
• If you have high levels of calcium in your blood (hypercalcaemia)
• If you have high levels of calcium in your urine (hypercalciuria)
• If you suffer from overactive parathyroid glands (hyperparathyroidism)
• If you suffer from bone marrow cancer (myeloma)
• If you suffer from cancer that has affected your bones (bone metastases)
• If you have restriction in movement of the limbs (prolonged immobilisation) accompanied with hypercalcaemia and / orhypercalciuria
• If you have kidney stones (nephrolithiasis)
• If you have calcium deposits in your kidneys (nephrocalcinosis)
• If you suffer from an excessive supply of vitamin D (hypervitaminosis D)
• If you have severe kidney problems
