Ingredients
Active ingredient: Ibuprofen 400 mg per tablet.
Other ingredients: lactose monohydrate, maize starch, hypromellose, sodium starch glycollate, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, sucrose, purified talc, titanium dioxide (E171), carnauba wax, sunset yellow lake (E110), erythrosine lake (E127), sodium benzoate (E211), purified water.
Usage and Instructions
Used for relief of mild to moderate pain, inflammation, or fever such as headaches, migraine, backache, period pain, dental pain, rheumatic pain, and symptoms of cold or flu.
- Take 1 tablet (400 mg) up to three times daily with or after food, at least 4 hours apart.
- Do not exceed 3 tablets (1200 mg) in 24 hours.
- Not suitable for children under 12 years unless advised by a doctor.
- For short-term use only (up to 10 days unless directed by a doctor).
- Swallow tablets whole with water—do not crush or chew.
Warnings
- Do not take if allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin, or other NSAIDs, or if you have a history of stomach ulcers, bleeding, or severe liver, kidney, or heart disease.
- Avoid in the last 3 months of pregnancy. Use only under medical advice in early pregnancy.
- Increased risk of stomach bleeding in elderly patients and those taking other NSAIDs.
- Use caution in asthma, hypertension, diabetes, or if you smoke.
- Stop treatment and seek medical help if you develop rash, blisters, breathing difficulty, chest pain, swelling, or black stools.
- Avoid alcohol.
- May cause dizziness; do not drive or operate machinery if affected.
- Do not combine with other NSAIDs or high-dose aspirin.
- Contains lactose, sucrose, and sunset yellow (E110) which may cause allergic reactions.
Side Effects
Common: Indigestion, heartburn, nausea, stomach pain, headache.
Uncommon: Diarrhoea, constipation, flatulence, vomiting, rash, or itching.
Rare: Mouth ulcers, gastritis, liver problems, or allergic reactions such as swelling or wheezing.
Very rare: Blood disorders, kidney problems, severe skin reactions (e.g. Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis), or aseptic meningitis (especially in autoimmune patients).
Serious: Black stools, vomiting blood, severe abdominal pain, chest pain, or swelling of the face—stop use and seek immediate medical help.
