Usage and Instructions
For oral use only. Chew thoroughly before swallowing.
- Adults and children 12 years and over: Take 2–4 tablets after meals and at bedtime, up to 4 times a day.
- Children under 12 years: Only take on medical advice.
If you miss a dose, continue as normal. Do not double up.
If too many tablets are taken, you may feel bloated. It’s unlikely to harm you, but speak to a doctor or pharmacist.
Taking high amounts of calcium carbonate over time can raise calcium levels in the blood.
If symptoms last or you need this medicine for over 7 days straight, seek medical advice.
Warnings
- Do not take if allergic to any ingredient.
- Talk to your doctor if on a sodium- or calcium-restricted diet. Four tablets contain 894.26 mg sodium and 7.5 mmol calcium.
- Contains aspartame (5.6 mg per tablet), a source of phenylalanine. Not suitable for people with phenylketonuria (PKU).
- Contains carmoisine lake (E122), which may cause allergic reactions.
- This product may hide signs of more serious illness.
Interactions with Other Medicines
Do not take within 2 hours of other oral medicines, especially:
- Antihistamines
- Antibiotics (e.g. tetracyclines, norfloxacin)
- Iron supplements
- Thyroid hormones
- Antifungals (e.g. ketoconazole)
- Digoxin, beta-blockers
- Neuroleptics
- Thyroxine
- Chloroquine
