Usage and Instructions
- Pre-operative skin wash:
- Wash with about 25 ml, starting from the face downward, rinse, and repeat.
- Perform the wash the day before and the day of the procedure.
- Surgical hand antisepsis:
- Wet hands and forearms, apply 5 ml, wash for 1 minute, rinse, repeat for 2 minutes, then rinse and dry.
- General antiseptic wash:
- Wet the skin, apply about 5 ml undiluted, wash for 1 minute, rinse thoroughly, and dry.
- Do not dilute unless instructed.
- Avoid excessive use or pooling of liquid.
Warnings
- Do not use if allergic to chlorhexidine or any of the other ingredients.
- Avoid contact with eyes, ears, and mucous membranes. If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
- Do not use in the middle ear, on nerve tissue, or where the eardrum is perforated.
- Avoid pooling of solution in skin folds or on bedding — wipe away excess to prevent irritation or burns.
- Flammable: keep away from open flames until skin is completely dry.

- The effect of chlorhexidine can be reduced by soaps, detergents, or hypochlorite bleaches.
- In cases of head or spinal injury, or ear trauma, only use if clearly necessary.
- Accidental contact with eyes during surgery can cause serious corneal injury or permanent damage.
