Ibuleve is formulated for fast local relief of backache, rheumatic and muscular pain, sprains, strains and neuralgia. It is also for pain relief in common arthritic conditions.

Ibuleve is non-sticky, non-greasy and colourless.

Ibuprofen 5.0% w/w

Adults and children onver 12 years:

Lightly apply 2 to 5cm of gel (50 to 125mg ibuprofen) over the affected area. Massage gently until absorbed. Wash hands after use, unless treating them.

Repeat as required, up to three times daily, or as instructed by your doctor.

Unless recommended by a doctor, medical advice should be sought about continued treatment if symptoms persist for more than a week.

Not recommended for children under 12 years.

Don't apply Ibuleve gel or spray to broken, damaged, infected or diseased areas of skin.

Take care to avoid getting Ibuleve in the eyes, mouth or nose. Rinse with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas.

Don't cover the area being treated with airtight or waterproof dressings, as these will increase the absorption of ibuprofen into the body and may increase the risk of side effects.

If you experience any side effects from this medicine, in particular a rash, stop using it and seek medical advice.

Do not use if you have ever had an allergic reaction, for example an asthma attack, itchy rash (urticaria), swelling of the face, tongue or throat, or nasal inflammation (rhinitis), after taking aspirin, ibuprofen or other related painkillers (NSAIDs).

Do not use Ibuleve gel and consult your pharmacist or your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Using Ibuleve on your skin may occasionally cause a skin rash, itching or irritation at the application site.

If you find Ibuleve irritates your skin, stop using it and ask your pharmacist for advice.
