What is the difference between Jolen Original and the Mild (Sensitive) formula?

Both are creme and accelerator powder lightening products for facial and body hair. The Mild Formula contains aloe vera in the creme, while the Original formula does not. Whichever you choose, do a patch test first.

Do I need to patch test Jolen Cream Bleach Original?

Yes. Jolen says to always patch test before use. The steps are in Usage and Instructions.

Creme: Water, Hydrogen Peroxide, Glyceryl Stearate, Isopropyl Myristate, Stearyl Stearate, Propylene Glycol, Stearic Acid, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Phosphoric Acid.

Accelerator: Ammonium Bicarbonate.

1. Patch test first. Mix 1 part accelerator powder with 3 parts creme and apply a small amount to your inner arm. Wash it off with cold water after 10 minutes, then wait 24 hours. If redness or irritation appears, do not use the product.
2. Wash the area to be bleached with soap and cold water and pat dry.
3. Using the spatula, fill the mixing cup with creme to the line indicated. Add one accelerator capful of powder. If you are using a tray instead, mix 3 parts creme to 1 part accelerator.
4. Mix well with the spatula until the powder is thoroughly blended into the creme.
5. Apply the mixture with the spatula to the area to be bleached, covering the hair completely.
6. Leave it on for the time given in the directions on your pack, then remove with the spatula.
7. Wash the area with cold water.

Read these precautions before use:

• Always patch test before use. If redness or irritation appears, do not use the product.
• Do not use it around the eyes. If it gets into your eyes, rinse immediately and thoroughly with cold water and consult your doctor.
• Do not use it on the vaginal area, or on blemishes, moles, or broken or irritated skin.
• Do not use it immediately after a hot bath or shower.
• Wait 24 hours between treatments of the same area.
• Avoid intense heat and sunlight on the treated skin for 24 hours.
• Stop using the product if irritation occurs, and do not use it if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients.
• Contains hydrogen peroxide. For external use only. Keep out of the reach of children.
