Description
Numark Advance Heartburn & Indigestion Relief Peppermint 250ml is a peppermint-flavoured oral suspension for the treatment of heartburn, acid regurgitation and indigestion caused by acid reflux. It contains sodium alginate and potassium hydrogen carbonate, and works on the surface of the stomach contents rather than being absorbed into the body, so it is a practical option if you want a liquid reflux treatment for adults and children aged 12 and over.
Key Features
- Forms a protective raft: On reaching stomach acid, the suspension forms a gel raft that floats on the stomach contents and impedes reflux for up to 4 hours, protecting the oesophagus from acid, pepsin and bile.
- Advance strength: Each 10 ml contains 1000 mg sodium alginate and 200 mg potassium hydrogen carbonate.
- Not absorbed into the bloodstream: Its action is physical and does not depend on absorption.
- Peppermint flavour: Supplied as a peppermint-flavoured white or cream-coloured liquid.
- Suitable in pregnancy and breastfeeding: It can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding if clinically needed.
