Description
Numark Antihistamine & Allergy Relief 4mg Tablets contain chlorphenamine maleate 4 mg, a sedating antihistamine used to relieve the symptoms of allergic conditions.
They can be used for hay fever affecting the nose and upper airways, allergic reactions to medicines, nettle rash, local itching, severe skin rash with swelling, food allergies and reactions to insect bites. Chlorphenamine reduces the effects of histamine released during an allergic reaction.
Adults and children aged 12 years and over can take one tablet every 4 to 6 hours as required, up to a maximum of 6 tablets in 24 hours. Children aged 6 to 12 years can take half a tablet every 4 to 6 hours, subject to the stated daily maximum.
This medicine can cause drowsiness. A pharmacist may provide advice about its appropriate use where required.
