Description
Almus Paracetamol 500mg Capsules contain paracetamol 500 mg per capsule, a painkiller that also helps reduce fever.
They are used for the relief of mild to moderate pain, including headache, migraine, toothache, nerve pain, sore throat and period pain. They can also relieve pain associated with sprains and strains, rheumatic and muscular pain, sciatica and back pain, as well as feverishness and symptoms associated with colds and flu.
The capsules are suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over, with age appropriate dosing. They are swallowed whole with water and can be taken every 4 to 6 hours when required.

Usage and Instructions
Almus Paracetamol 500mg Capsules are used for the relief of mild to moderate pain and fever, including headache, migraine, toothache, nerve pain, sore throat, period pain, muscular and rheumatic pain, back pain, sprains and strains, and feverish symptoms associated with colds and flu.
Adults, the elderly and children over 16 years: Take 2 capsules every 4 to 6 hours as required.
Maximum dose: Do not take more than 8 capsules in 24 hours.
Children aged 12 to 15 years: Take 1 capsule every 4 to 6 hours as required. Do not take more than 4 capsules in 24 hours.
Do not give to children under 12 years.
Leave at least 4 hours between doses.
Swallow the capsules whole with water. Do not chew.
Do not take for more than 3 days unless advised by a doctor. If symptoms do not improve, speak to a doctor or pharmacist.
Do not take more than the recommended dose and do not take with any other medicine containing paracetamol.
Warnings
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to paracetamol or any of its ingredients.
Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if you:
- Have kidney or liver problems, including alcoholic liver disease.
- Are dependent on alcohol.
- Are breastfeeding.
- Have a severe illness, severe kidney impairment, sepsis, malnutrition or chronic alcoholism.
- Are taking flucloxacillin.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about other medicines you are taking, particularly warfarin or other anticoagulants, colestyramine, metoclopramide, domperidone, carbamazepine or flucloxacillin.
Do not take any other medicine containing paracetamol at the same time.
Pregnancy: Paracetamol may be used during pregnancy if necessary. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible time and speak to a doctor or midwife if pain or fever does not improve.
Breastfeeding: Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine while breastfeeding.
Overdose: Seek medical advice immediately if more than the recommended dose is taken, even if you feel well, because too much paracetamol can cause delayed and serious liver damage.
Seek urgent medical advice if you develop serious breathing difficulties, a severe allergic reaction or signs of a serious skin reaction.
