If you need further advice about using this medicine, speak to a pharmacist or doctor.
Ingredients
White soft paraffin (57.3%), Liquid paraffin (42.5%), Lanolin alcohols (0.2%)
Usage and Instructions
Lacri-Lube is used as a lubricant and protectant for dry eye.
Apply a small amount of ointment into the lower eyelid of the affected eye or eyes as needed.
Wash your hands before use. Remove the cap without squeezing the sides of the tube. Pull down the lower eyelid to form a small pocket and gently squeeze a small strip of ointment into this space.
Do not allow the tube nozzle to touch the eye or any other surface.
The ointment may be reapplied at intervals as needed.
If you use other eye medicines, apply the other eye medicine first and leave at least 5 minutes before using Lacri-Lube. Lacri-Lube should always be the last eye medicine applied.
If you wear contact lenses, remove them before applying the ointment. Wait at least 30 minutes before reinserting your lenses.
If you forget a dose, do not use a double dose. Apply the next dose when needed.
If irritation, pain, redness or changes in vision occur or worsen, stop using the product and speak to a doctor. Consult your doctor if your symptoms continue despite using Lacri-Lube.
Warnings
Do not use Lacri-Lube if you are allergic to wool alcohols, paraffin or any of the other ingredients.
Wool alcohols may cause local skin reactions such as contact dermatitis.
Remove contact lenses before use and wait at least 30 minutes before putting them back in.
Do not allow the tube nozzle to touch your eye or any other surface.
If you are using another eye medicine, use the other medicine first and wait at least 5 minutes before applying Lacri-Lube. Lacri-Lube should be applied last.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding: No harmful effects are anticipated during pregnancy or breastfeeding because there is no systemic exposure to a pharmacologically active substance. The leaflet nevertheless advises asking a pharmacist or doctor for advice before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Lacri-Lube may cause temporary blurred vision, typically lasting from 1 to 15 minutes. Do not drive or use machinery until your vision has returned to normal.
Stop using Lacri-Lube and speak to a doctor if irritation, eye pain, redness or changes in vision occur or become worse.
If Lacri-Lube is accidentally swallowed, contact a doctor for advice.
Accidental application of too much ointment to the eye is not expected to cause harm other than temporary blurred vision.
