Description
Ucalm is a traditional herbal medicinal product used to relieve the symptoms of slightly low mood and mild anxiety based on traditional use only.
The name St John’s Wort was adopted for this plant because it traditionally blooms around the birthday of St John the Baptist. The plant itself, characterised by its beautiful yellow flowers, has been used traditionally for hundreds of years by continental Europeans, and its usages documented as far back as Hippocrates who himself prescribed hypericum. Today St John’s Wort is prescribed in Germany in fifty percent of cases of emotional imbalance, anxiety and sleep disorders.
Suitable for Vegetarians and vegans and people who suffer from diabetes.

Ingredients
Each film-coated tablet contains 300mg of extract (as dry extract) from St John’s Wort aerial parts (Hypericum perforatum L.) (5-7:1) (equivalent to 1500 - 2100mg St. John’s Wort) Extraction solvent 60%v/v.

Usage and Instructions
Adults (16 years old and over) and the elderly:
take 2 tablets once a day.
Always read the information leaflet before taking.
Warnings
This product should not be used by people taking antidepressants or anyone who has hypersensitivity to sunlight or is taking photosensitizing drugs such as tetracycline.
Due to the effect St. John’s Wort has on cytochrome P450 this may result in decreased drug concentrations and subsequent loss of drug effectiveness.
Anyone on medication should check with the GP prior to using St. John’s Wort.
This product is not recommended for use during pregnancy or when breast feeding.
DO NOT TAKE if you are currently taking warfarin or HRT as St. John’s Wort interacts with this medications.
