Description
Tadalafil Umedica 20mg 4 Tablets is a prescription-only treatment for erectile dysfunction in adult men, which is when a man cannot get or keep an erection suitable for sexual activity. Each yellow, oval film-coated tablet contains 20 mg of tadalafil and is taken before sexual activity rather than every day, so you only take it when you plan to need it.
Key Features
- Treats erectile dysfunction in adult men: Tadalafil belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors. After sexual stimulation, it helps the blood vessels in the penis relax, which allows blood to flow into the penis.
- 20 mg strength: The recommended starting dose is 10 mg. The 20 mg tablet is for men whose doctor has decided that 10 mg is too weak.
- Taken before sexual activity: Take it at least 30 minutes beforehand, with or without food. It is not recommended for continuous daily use.
- May work for up to 36 hours: The patient leaflet states the tablet may still be effective up to 36 hours after taking it.
Do I need a prescription for Tadalafil Umedica 20mg?
Yes. Tadalafil Umedica 20 mg tablets are a prescription only medicine, and the leaflet states the medicine has been prescribed for you only. Do not pass it on to others.
Will the tablet work without sexual stimulation?
No. Tadalafil does not work if there is no sexual stimulation. It also will not help if you do not have erectile dysfunction.
How often can I take Tadalafil 20mg tablets?
Do not take a tablet more than once a day. The 10 mg and 20 mg tablets are intended for use before anticipated sexual activity and are not recommended for continuous daily use.
Can I drink alcohol with Tadalafil?
Drinking alcohol may affect your ability to get an erection and may temporarily lower your blood pressure. Avoid excessive drinking (a blood alcohol level of 0.08% or greater), as this may increase the risk of dizziness when standing up.
Read the patient information leaflet before use.
Consultation Process
1. Is this an over-the-counter medication? NO, this is a prescription-only medication (POM), but medino pharmacy offers a private erectile dysfunction service, called PGD, where a trained pharmacist can dispense some medications for erectile dysfunction, after carrying out a clinical assessment.
2. What will happen once I have answered the questions in the form? A pharmacist trained to provide the Erectile Dysfunction private service will assess the form and call you to discuss the answers you provided with you.
3. Why do I need to provide my phone number? In order to dispense this medication without a prescription, the consultation must be carried out via phone or video call. As well as this being a legal requirement to ensure that the medication is suitable for you, the final phone consultation will allow you to ask any questions you may have to the pharmacist.
3. Is the consultation private? Patient confidentiality is one of our top priorities, both the form you fill and the phone consultation are strictly confidential between you and the pharmacist.
4. Do I need to pay for the consultation? The price you see is inclusive of the consultation fee, so you will not have to pay anything extra.
Purchasing this medication does not guarantee its supply. The decision if this medication is right for you will be made together with the pharmacist during your consultation, and ultimately the decision to supply the medication is with the pharmacist. Any orders found not suitable will be refunded.
