ZeroAQS Emollient Cream is a 500g leave-on emollient and skin cleanser from the Zeroderma range, used for the relief of flaking, dry skin conditions. It combines liquid paraffin and white soft paraffin in an SLS-free, fragrance-free cream base suitable for adults and children. Because it can be used both as a daily moisturiser and as a soap substitute, it lets you cleanse and moisturise dry skin with a single product.

Why does ZeroAQS Emollient Cream carry a fire warning?

Like other paraffin-based emollients, ZeroAQS can soak into clothing, dressings and bedding. Fabric that has dried with the product on it catches fire more easily, so it's important to keep away from naked flames and cigarettes, and to wash affected fabric regularly.

Other ingredients: Purified water, cetostearyl alcohol, macrogol cetostearyl ether, chlorocresol.

As a moisturiser: Apply a generous layer to the affected areas of skin as often as required.

As a soap substitute: Apply to the skin using your hands or a washcloth, then rinse off.

The following precautions apply when using ZeroAQS Emollient Cream:

• Fire hazard: this product contains paraffin, which can soak into fabric. Clothing, dressings and bedding that have dried with the product on them catch fire more easily, so keep away from naked flames and do not smoke while using it.
• Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
• Contains cetostearyl alcohol and chlorocresol, which may cause local skin reactions such as contact dermatitis, or allergic reactions, in some people.

Side effects are uncommon. ZeroAQS Emollient Cream may occasionally cause stinging or a mild allergic reaction such as a skin rash. If this happens, or your skin condition gets worse, stop using the product and speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
