Description
Zerobase Emollient Cream is a 500g leave-on moisturiser from the Zeroderma range, used to soften, moisturise and protect red, inflamed, damaged, dry or chapped skin. It comes in an airless pump that dispenses with less than 2% product wastage, which suits the regular, ongoing application these skin conditions often need.
Key Features
- Airless pump with minimal wastage: The 500g pack uses an airless pump that dispenses with less than 2% product wastage.
- 2-in-1 emollient and soap substitute: Free from SLS and fragrance, and can be used both as a moisturiser and as an alternative to soap.
- Can be applied before bathing: If you have eczema, applying the cream before a bath can help stop the skin drying further.
- Contains liquid paraffin for an occlusive barrier: Liquid paraffin 11% w/w (21% total paraffin content) helps soften and protect the skin.
- Suitable for adults, the elderly and children: Can be applied to affected areas of skin across all these age groups.
Can Zerobase Emollient Cream be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Using Zerobase Emollient Cream during pregnancy and breastfeeding is unlikely to have any ill effects when used as directed. If you're unsure, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before use.
What's the difference between the 500g and 50g Zerobase packs?
Both contain the same formulation of Zerobase Emollient Cream. This 500g size comes in an airless pump that dispenses with less than 2% product wastage, making it suited to regular, ongoing use, while the 50g tube is a smaller, more portable size.
Why does Zerobase Emollient Cream carry a fire warning?
Zerobase contains paraffin, which can soak into clothing, bedding and dressings. Fabric that has dried with the product on it catches fire more easily, so it's important to keep away from naked flames and not to smoke while using it. Washing affected fabric regularly reduces, but does not remove, this risk.
Ingredients
Active ingredient: Liquid paraffin 11% w/w.
Other ingredients: White soft paraffin, cetostearyl alcohol, macrogol cetostearyl ether, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, chlorocresol, phosphoric acid, purified water.
Usage and Instructions
Apply to the affected areas of skin as often as required, and smooth gently into the skin, following the direction of hair growth. If you have eczema, the cream can also be applied before a bath to help stop the skin drying further. For external use only.
