Lamberts Biome Balance Sensitive is a live bacteria food supplement in 30 delayed-release capsules, previously called Biome Balance 25. Each capsule provides 25 billion live bacteria from four strains: Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium bifidum. Delayed-release capsules and desiccant packaging are used to protect the bacteria from stomach acid and moisture.

What does delayed release mean?

Delayed-release capsules are made to stay intact through the stomach, where acid can damage live bacteria. Lamberts gives a disintegration time of 105 minutes for these capsules.

Can I take it if I am pregnant, breastfeeding or on medication?

Lamberts advises against using this product if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or have an immune-compromised condition, unless a doctor has advised you to.

Typically per capsule: Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus plantarum and Bifidobacterium bifidum, 25 billion in total (at the time of manufacture).

Inactive ingredients: Rice flour, capsule shell (hypromellose and gellan gum), anti-caking agent (stearic acid).

Additional information: A small white capsule. Delayed-release capsules with a disintegration time of 105 minutes. Free from wheat, barley, soya, eggs, milk and milk products, lactose, nuts, sulphites, celery, fish, shellfish, yeast and gluten-containing ingredients.

Take 1 capsule daily with a glass of water, ideally first thing in the morning. Do not take within half an hour of consuming hot food or drinks.

Store in a cool, dry place protected from light, preferably in a refrigerator.
