Description
Lamberts Zincatest 100ml is a clear zinc sulphate solution that Lamberts says can be used in two ways: as a daily food supplement, or as a taste test that gives an indication of zinc status. It is a liquid, which may suit people who find tablets and capsules difficult to swallow.
Key Features
- Two uses in one bottle: It can be taken as a zinc supplement or used as a taste test to indicate zinc status.
- 15mg of zinc per 5ml: One 5ml spoonful provides 15mg of zinc as a clear zinc sulphate solution.
- Liquid format: Lamberts states it is for those who find tablets and capsules difficult to swallow, and it can be diluted in water or orange juice.
- Simple taste test: The test uses 5ml of Zincatest mixed into 60ml of water, swirled in the mouth for 10 seconds.
- Suitable for vegetarians and vegans: Lamberts states the product is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
How do I use Zincatest as a taste test?
Take the test at least one hour after food or drink. Add 5ml of Zincatest to 60ml of water, then immediately swirl one 5ml spoonful of the diluted mixture around your mouth for 10 seconds. You can swallow or spit it out. Make up a fresh solution each time you test.
What do the taste test results mean?
Lamberts states that the taste gives an indication of zinc status. A tasteless, water-like result indicates low zinc status. A slightly dry, furry, mineral-like or even sweet taste that develops after a few seconds indicates marginally low. A definite taste that intensifies with time indicates marginally positive. A strong, unpleasant taste noticed immediately indicates positive.
How do I take Zincatest as a supplement?
