Nature's Aid Vitamin B12 1000µg(Sublingual) 90 Tablets

Nature's Aid Vitamin B12 1000µg(Sublingual) 90 Tablets
Description
Natures Aid Vitamin B12 1000ug(Sublingual) can be used for:
Mild deficiency (up to 1000mcg daily)
Vegans, the elderly and those receiving B12 in injections sometimes like to ‘top-up’ on a daily basis to prevent gradual decline in B12 levels. A wide variety of drugs decrease B12 levels.
Pernicious anaemia (1000-2000mcg daily)
Contrary to common opinion, pernicious anaemia can be successfully treated with oral B12, so long as the dose is adequate.
Depression in the elderly (1000-2000mcg daily)
Significant degrees of B12 deficiency double the risk of severe depression.
B12 is primarily found in meats, and the redder the better in terms of content, followed by fish and cheese. Alternative sources of B12 used by vegans, such as sea vegetables and tempeh, may not be the answer they are purported to be, as the form of B12 is not the same as found in animal produce. It is not known how well the body utilises this form, if at all. Others likely to be short of B12 are the elderly and those on antacid medications, since neither group makes optimal amounts of stomach acid and, as a result, the special enzyme needed for B12 absorption, called intrinsic factor.
Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Vitamin B12 supplements can be taken while on warfarin, HRT and by people who suffer from diabetes.
FREE FROM: Dairy, lactose, gluten, wheat, nuts, salt, soya, starch, sugar & yeast, GM, artificial colour or flavour.
